We are excited to welcome Nelson Muoki as CURE Kenya’s Executive Director! With nearly a decade of dedicated service to CURE, Nelson embodies an outstanding blend of experience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to children. His journey at AIC-CURE Children’s Hospital of Kenya speaks to his deep dedication to transforming lives through faith-driven healthcare, and we couldn’t be more excited about this new journey!

A Journey of Passion and Impact
Nelson’s incredible path with CURE began back in 2015 when he was hired as a CUREkids Coordinator. Serving in this vital role, he shared compelling stories of children undergoing life-changing treatments, allowing donors and partners to see firsthand the invaluable difference their gifts made in the lives of the kids that we serve. His heart-focused storytelling built real bridges between CURE’s work and those who enable it.
In 2017, Nelson assumed the critical position of Donor Facilitation and Development Manager. He played a pivotal role in developing donor relationships, establishing significant partnerships, and securing essential funding for CURE Kenya programs. Under his guidance, CURE Kenya extended its reach significantly, offering life-altering orthopaedic care to even more children and families.
Between 2020 and 2023, as Development and Programs Director, Nelson oversaw the implementation of over 20 innovative projects to improve access to healthcare for vulnerable children. His forward-thinking and dynamic leadership enabled CURE Kenya to establish meaningful partnerships and significantly transform thousands of lives.
In 2023, Nelson took on the role of Capital Projects Coordinator for the entire CURE network of eight hospitals all around the world. His tireless commitment to the work ensured that children in all the countries where CURE operates were offered quality care in safe, welcoming, and child-friendly surroundings.
A Leader with a Heart for Children
Nelson’s leadership is founded on compassion and trust in CURE’s vision to heal children. He has acquired the necessary understanding of the organization’s operations from his time within and is well-positioned to lead CURE Kenya. He is a strategic thinker and servant leader who is a believer in teamwork, cooperation, and faith-based service.“My joy for serving at CURE comes from knowing that what we do at the hospital reflects Christ’s love for humanity. My journey with CURE has taught me that compassion coupled with action produces hope and healing far beyond the hospital walls. There is still a lot of need out there, and I’m humbled to be part of the team that is shaping brighter futures for children through healthcare restoration every day,” Nelson reflects.
With the new challenge of being Executive Director, Nelson is dedicated to ensuring every child who enters CURE Kenya receives the most appropriate medical attention, emotional guidance, and spiritual encouragement. Nelson’s vision for CURE is radiant and bright, with its eyes set on relentless growth, excellence, and uncompromising devotion to serving children in need.
Exciting Times Ahead!
CURE is excited about this new chapter with Nelson at the helm and has full confidence in his ability to lead CURE Kenya with integrity, vision, and a heart for children. As the hospital continues to advance in providing life-changing orthopaedic surgeries, we encourage you as donors, partners, and the great CURE community to join us in welcoming Nelson to this role.
